What is Network marketing?

Also referred to as; MLM or Multi level Marketing.

To help you understand what network marketing is, first let me explain what it is not.

Network marketing isn't a pyramid scheme. A pyramid is strictly a money exchange and has no product or service involved at all. Pyramids are programs similar to Ponzi's or chain letters where people just invest money based on the pledge that other people will put in money that will somehow filtrate back to them and they'll get rich.

Most people's concept of this is that all the people at the bottom do all the work but all the money goes to all the people at the top. So then if this how you look at things then any traditional business would be a pyramid and even, maybe the social security system.

For a person to actually make money in a pyramid scheme, someone else has to lose money.

NWM is a legitimate business model. It's a form of distribution to provide people with real- genuine- helpful products or services that they need and want.

Network marketing isn't a get-rich-quick scheme. I will admit while many people do make a lot of money through NWM (in a 3-5 years time on average) their financial gain is almost always the direct result of their own dedicated efforts. Of course some people do make large amounts of money very quickly, let me stress that these numbers are small and honestly these people are either just plan lucky or they have a story they are not telling you. In NWM your compensation is directly related to your efforts and your ability to help others succeed.

So what exactly is network marketing? Networking is essentially word of mouth referral marketing, which we all do anyway when we tell someone about a really good movie or a great restaurant; we just aren't getting paid for that referral. WE are rewarded for gathering customers and business associates.
