What is an Entrepreneur?

One who starts a business or other venture that promises economic gain but that also entails risks.

I worked in traditional business for 13 years. I was a good employee, I was dependable, I did what I was asked to do, I was on time, I gave my JOB 100% effort while I was on the clock. But -My heart was somewhere else, I did not want to have to answer to a boss or ask for time off when I wanted to be home with my family. I was constantly dreaming of personal independence and financial freedom for me and my family. I was always thinking how "I wanted to be calling my own shots!"

I wanted work to fit around my life not my life fitting around my work!

I would continually dream about how my life looked through "personal freedom".

You must take action!

You can dream your life away and have nothing to show for it unless you act on your dreams. When I was shown a way to achieve what I wanted I took it and never looked back! I began my journey in independent business owning over 5 years ago.

Definitions we are all familiar with:

Businessperson, adventurer, professional, A risk-taker who has the skills and initiative to establish a business. A person who organizes, operates, and assumes the risk for a business venture. A person who starts or organizes a business company, especially one involving risk.

Is it Risk free- NO Way! There have been many times I was scared to death, not sleeping at nights, worried about the next move or failure. There have been challenges, setbacks, discouragement, and lots of fear along the way.

Was it Worth it- YES, YES, YES!

I have learned and grown personally and professionally to a level I never dreamed of. I have accomplished things I never thought possible. I have had countless personal victories, infinite moments of self satisfaction. I have had the pleasure of working with many many amazing people. I have been home with my kids now for the last three years.

Was it a Quick Fix..

NOPE! I had to work my business part time for two years until I was able to make the transition to quit my job and work full time from home. At work I was always thinking about my next step for my business, what I was going to do as soon as I got home, the direction I wanted to take my business.

Think about business outside of the regular 9-5

Value personal independence

Indisputable instinct to remain in control of, their own life and business

Will decide when and where they work

Does not want to report to a boss or office

My net Worth..

Do I own a vacation home in Venice or Fiji- no.

Do I have a garage full of expensive cars- no.

Do I own a private Jet- no.

Am I Rich..

ABSOLUTEY, I get to stay home with my kids, I get to attend all the sports activities my kids participate in, I get to take the day off when I want to, I get to take vacations with my family.We live in "Our Dream Home". I get to pursue my hobbies, goals and dreams. I get to help other people along their journey. I have the priveledge to get to work with amazing people from diverse backgrounds and situations from all over the world. I get to experience personal satisfaction every single day. I get to do something that is worth while, I get to help other people everyday with various aspects of their lives and businesses. I can honestly say "I love what I do!" even the tough days!

I also have many more financial "perks" that I did not have before.
